The heads of foreign states and international organizations have sent letters to President Islam Karimov congratulating with the holiday of Eid al-Adha, which is celebrated in Uzbekistan on 27 November.
The King of Saudi Arabia Abdulla bin Abdulaziz Al Saud in his letter wrote: “It is a great pleasure for me to send sincere congratulations and best wishes to Your Excellency on behalf of the people and the government of Saudi Arabia and myself in connection with the sacred holiday Eid al-Adha.”
President of the United States Barack Obama wrote: “On behalf of the people of America and myself accept my best wishes on this day, when You and the people of Uzbekistan are celebrating the sacred holiday of Qurban-hayit.”
